Accessibility and the BBC websites
The BBC's "My Web My Way" directive has been attracting a lot of attention in recent months and they have again exceeded, certainly my, expectations and have commissioned System Concepts to produce an Accessibility study of bbc.co.uk which they are releasing to the general public for perusal.
Interestingly System Concepts actually use disabled users to evaluate using the site (as discussed in my meeting with the Shaw Trust) and the BBC have included details of the user findings in Appendix 6 of their document - it certainly makes interesting reading and can be downloaded from their site.
It all goes to show that not even the big guns get it right everytime - even if they do meet so called WAI guidelines!
